About Us

The Who

I come from a long line of fixers.  My grandparents and father were both firm believers in if it's broke, fix it.  The downside to this gift, a garage full of stuff. The upside of course is an adventure in revitalization, reinvention, revamping, restoring and redemption.  I inherited this passion to turn what some would consider trash back into treasure.  As long as I can remember I have saved things I loved some that were broken, thinking there must be a way to fix it or use it. My journey to Just Heel It started this way and was put to the test when my two-month-old puppy chose only my most expensive and of course favorite shoes as her new chew toys.  I am also quite crafty with a keen desire for instant gratification, the easier the better and anyone and everyone can use the Heel It products, it is Just that easy. 

In case you're wondering, yes, my garage is brimming but I am proud to say my car is parked in it.  

The How 

Imagine this, you've just put on your beautiful new pair of Coach heels for the first time. You're having a wonderful evening, that is until you step in a crack and scuff up the heel. Heart breaking for sure. I've been there before, and that is where Just Heel It originated. I needed a solution that was attractive, cost effective, and didn't change the entire look of the shoe. Most of all, it needed to be EASY. I looked high and low and found nothing that fit all of my requirements, leading me on my quest to create something that anyone could confidently use to beautifully hide the heel damage. 

This same product is an excellent way to "Up Do" almost any shoe. Giving old shoes a new look, coordinating one pair of shoes with multiple outfits when traveling or creating original special event shoes from what you have in your closet.  

The Why

Over 400 million shoes end up in our landfills each year releasing toxic chemicals into the ground as the rubber, plastics and glue start breaking down. My hope is that you will be inspired to up-cycle your shoes instead of tossing them in the trash. It is not only important to take care of our planet but those who walk on it. Just Heel It is committed to giving 10% of its profits to Project 248 who supports orphanages around the world to make sure these kids never go without shoes.
